In the context of the most important national wine fairs, ENOMAQ and TEECNOVID was held in Zaragoza on the 14th February, a seminar to deepen on the biomass from pruning and vines and fruit trees uprooted, organized by CIRCE and ASAJA that, through the European project “uP_runnig” studies and promotes the use of this type of biomass in Spain. During the Seminar, the Coordinator of VINEYARDS4HEAT explained what has been learned over the years, from where the vine shoots were treated as a waste, to be treated as an energy resource.

Those attending the conference, among which there were several agricultural machinery manufacturers, engineers and institutional representatives of Aragon and Catalonia assessed positively the work done from different projects to highlight the importance of agricultural biomass to produce renewable energy from Km. 0.

Following the debate, Daniel Garcia, director of CIRCE and Coordinator of uP_running project and Angel Samper, General Secretary of ASAJA Aragon, presented a declaration of 12 points summarizing the work to be done to valorize agricultural biomass, which was very well received by the attendees.
