The Cooperative Winery La Granada has been one of the speakers of the technical day Boosting bioenergy in the wine sector, which took place on Wednesday February 12th in the Enològica building of Vilafranca del Penedès.

The Cooperative Winery La Granada has presented its experience of this last year in relation to the collection of the pruning of the Penedès vineyards that are part of the Vineyards4Heat project, and its commercialization supplying the District Heat of La Girada neighbourhood of Vilafranca that already manages the Municipal Water Company of Vilafranca.

Within the framework of the technical day, the business experiences of ISVED, Bodegas Torres, Vilarnau and Natefi were also announced. The day was organized by INNOVI the Catalan wine cluster and by Catalonia Biomass cluster with the aim of promoting the use of pruning remains and other agricultural waste to produce energy in biomass facilities, as well as promoting decarbonisation.
